Fry, Herbert James

Herbert James Fry, 84, of Williamsburg, died Friday, March 29, 2013, at Colonial Manor of Amana. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at Zion Lutheran Church, Iowa City. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 1, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Herb is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean “Bobbi”; two daughters, Jami Fry Wong (Jeremy) of Encinitas, Calif., and Rhia Wilkin (Chris Strohm) of Arcadia, Wis.; five grandchildren, Aidan and Dylan Wong and Marena, Cameron and Carson Wilkin; two stepgrandchildren, Patience Ramos and Jasmine Strohm; and two sisters, Lucille Fearneyhough of Sedalia, Mo., and Shirley Possehl of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dollie Waterhouse Fry; four brothers, Harold, Bill, Gene and DeWayne; and four sisters, Betty Vogel, Ruby Patterson, Lavera Cheney and Nellie Patterson.

Memorials may be contributed to the Zion Building Fund or Iowa City Hospice.
