Fry, Ericka Jean
Ericka Jean Fry, 38, of Des Moines, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, in her home due to complications from pneumonia. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her parents; brothers, Matthew (Tara) Fry of Denver, Colo., and Peter (Stephanie) Fry of Columbus, Ohio; niece and nephews, Graiden, Luca, Paxton and Anna; and her special canine friend, Murphy.
Born Aug. 21, 1971, in Iowa City, Ericka was the daughter of K. Edward and Jean (Knutson) Fry. She graduated from Iowa State University and worked for Wells Fargo Bank for nine years, most recently in human resources.
Ericka cherished and loved her many friends and their shared moments and memories. She also enjoyed yoga, golf, cycling and the outdoors. She was a member of My Angel Foundation.
A memorial fund has been established in Ericka's memory for improvements to the Off Leash Dog Park at Squaw Creek Park.
