Frese, Rosetta Marie
Rosetta Marie Frese, 78, of Homestead, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City. Celebration of lLife service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Homestead. Pastor Wayne Woolery will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Williamsburg.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph of Homestead; a daughter, Marnita (Shawn) Curry of Sherrard, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Frese of South English; five grandchildren, Daniel Frese, Riley (Sonia) Curry, Thomas Frese, Kenneth Jr. (Heather) Frese and Robert Frese; three great-grandchildren, Reagan Curry, Craig Frese and Vanessa Frese; a brother, Eugene (Cheri) Schmidt of Ocheyedan; a sister: Janet Murphy of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a sister-in-law, Violet Schmidt of Worthington, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth Frese; and a brother, Allen Schmidt.
Memorials are for St. John Lutheran Church or Lutheran Interparish School.
