Frese, Frank E.
Frank E. Frese, 98, of 234 Sunset Lane, Hiawatha, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include a sister, Luella Rose of Cedar Rapids, two nieces, Juanita Cochran and Virginia Scheetz, both of Oxford; a nephew, Charles Frese of Oxford; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise; his parents; and three brothers, Martin, Ivan and Ted Frese.
Frank was born Sept. 10, 1911, in Oxford, Iowa, the son of Edwin and Ada Wagner Frese. He married Louise F. Kraus on Feb. 5, 1938, in Cedar Rapids. Frank was a foreman for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids and later in Cosa Mesa, Calif. He was an avid sports fan with the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls among his favorites. In his spare time he enjoyed reading.
