FREDRICK EARL KUEHL
Garnavillo
Fredrick Earl Kuehl, or as one of the many nicknames he had, the "Fredster," "Fast Freddy," "Skipper" or "Earl," 46, of Albert Lea, Minn., formerly of Garnavillo and Clayton, passed away suddenly May 16, 2017, at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon, Iowa.
Fred was the son of Billy Ray and Barbara (Schlesselman) Kuehl. He was born April 22, 1971 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Fred grew up along the Mississippi River in Clayton and attended Garnavillo High School. Throughout his life he had many odd jobs. All who knew Fred knew him to play more than he worked. Living much of his life around the Clayton area, he enjoyed spending his time on the river, boating, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed classic cars, bowling, playing card games like euchre and poker, and spending time and causing trouble with his friends. Fred made countless memories by going to many concerts and on road trips with his friends and Erika. Going out to eat was something he liked to do with his family and friends all throughout his life.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Kimberly Kuehl, and niece, Kaitlyn Kuehl-Berns, both of Clayton; special friend, Dawn Hansen of Albert Lea; and many relatives and friends.
Fred joins into eternal life with his parents, Billy Ray and Barbara Kuehl; longtime companion, Erika Moser; and maternal and paternal grandparents, Walter and Wanda James and Earl and Leta Kuehl.
Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, 001 S. Industrial Park Rd., Garnavillo, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 23. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Hillary Burns-Kite officiating. Interment will be private.
