Frederick O. Wright, 80, of Rowley, Iowa, died Friday afternoon, Nov. 7, 2014, at the ABCM Rehabilitation Center's West Campus in Independence, Iowa.
Fred was born on July 14, 1934, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Alvin and Margaret (McKeever) Wright. He attended the country schools, and was married to Etta Mae Jellison on March 2, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Fred was a lifelong crop and dairy farmer in the Rowley, Walker and Troy Mills, Iowa, area.
He is survived by his wife, Etta Mae; two daughters, Margaret K. Shannon, Quasqueton, Iowa, and Jo E. (Steve) Schumacher, Rowley, Iowa; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Karen (Kaye) Arp, Troy Mills, Iowa, and Jeanne Wright, Walker, Iowa.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Richard Wright.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at the Hoover Wesleyan Church, Walker, Iowa, with Rev. Dr. Charles Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Circle Grove Cemetery, Walker. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Reiff Funeral Home in Quasqueton, Iowa, and from 10 a.m. until services Tuesday at the church.
