Frederick-Netz, Sally
Sally Frederick-Netz, 91, of 4505 First Ave. SW, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of the King, 3750 F Ave. NW, where friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Donald Glazier will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Dale; a daughter, Sharon Kay (Douglas) Deklotz of Atkins; grandson, Daniel Deklotz of Atkins; four stepdaughters, the Rev. Linda (George) Hopkins of Orange, Texas, Peggy Krizek of Fort Worth, Texas, Tracy (Warren) Engelbart of Marion and Kelly (Sean) Smith of Loveland, Colo.; and a stepson, Larry Netz of Central City .
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Brumback and Orpha Gray; and sisters, Gayle Brumback, Opal Kent and Margaret Strathman.
Sally loved the Lord God, the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, her Savior and Lord of her life, and the Holy Spirit who was her comforter, her Guide, her Teacher, Her Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby. It truly is the only way to live and have God's love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, graciousness, and self control. The fruit of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23. Sally endeavored to please her Lord. Her desire was that you too will learn to love Him as she did.
Sally was married to Capt. Robert M. Krumm for nine years. He was killed in action over Korea in 1952. She married Vernon Frederick, who died in 1996. On April 17, 1999, she married Dale Netz.
Memorials may be made to Church of the King in care of the Philippines Missions or The Arc of East Central Iowa, Cedar Rapids chapter.
