FREDERICK GORSH Cedar Rapids Frederick Junior Gorsh, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at his home of natural causes. Private family services will be at a later date. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 1 to 3 p.m. and at Clancy's Keg after 4 p.m. on Saturday. Survivors include three daughters, Kim Gorsh and Debbie (Dale) Dilts, both of Cedar Rapids, and Kellee (Bob Netolicky) of Arizona; a brother, Kenny of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Sandy Potter of Kansas City, Mo. He also is survived by three grandchildren, Shelby, Morgan and Brandon. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Joanne; a brother, Gene; and two sisters, Darlene and Sheila. Fred was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Iowa City, the son of Frederick and Blanche Pollet Gorsh. He married Joanne M. Topinka on Sept. 26, 1959, in Cedar Rapids. They were later divorced and remained good friends. Fred was a carpet installer for over 40 years and worked for several local businesses. He enjoyed NASCAR, going to the casino and the time spent with his beloved family and many, many friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
