Freda Iris Rabik, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022. A visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial at Czech National Cemetery in Cedar Rapids will take place at a later date.
Freda was born Jan. 23, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Archie and Edna (Rahmiller) Tomkins. She was united in marriage to Stanley Rabik on March 10, 1946, in Cedar Rapids. Freda loved cooking. She was devoted to her children and husband.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Rabik; children, Larry Rabik, Barbara (Robert) Reeve, Janet (Phillip) Hughes and Julie Gerace; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Pati Rabik.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Edna Tomkins; son, Jerry Rabik; grandchildren, Angie McVay and Jerry Lee Rabik II; and daughter-in-law, Peggy Rabik.
