Freda M. Griffin, 89, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Legacy Gardens in Iowa City.
Freda's family is hosting a greeting time on Saturday, May 21, at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 12:30. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America to help fight this disease which affects so many.
Survivors include her children, Michael Griffin (Sharyn) of Modesto, Calif., Bruce Griffin (Julie) of Iowa City, Karen Bell (Joe) of Tampa, Fla., Rebecca Dalo (Jerry) of Ladera Ranch, Calif., and Scott Griffin (Jennifer) of Eden Prairie, Minn.; a sister and brother, Norma Schlabaugh of Broomfield, Colo., and Orlo McArtor of Kalona; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
