Frazier, Gerald
Gerald Frazier, 84, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, May 7, 2010, at West Ridge Care Center. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel by Raymond Zook. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors. Visitation will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. before the service.
Gerald was born March 5, 1926, in Fairfield, to Grace Lucille and Efram John Frazier. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was retired from Cherry Burrell where he once held the position of union president for three years. He was a member of the American Legion. He spent his free time enjoying the outdoors, fishing and working around his home, but most of all, spending time with his family.
Gerald is survived by his loving daughters, Sheryl (Kimm) Stastny and Barbara (Steve) Ward; daughter-in-law, Rita Zook; brother, Milford (Elaine) Frazier; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wonderful wife of 54 years, Alice; his son, Steven; his parents, Grace and Efram; sister, Shirley Hughes; and brothers, Beryl and Joe.
