Frasher, Matthew Philip
Matthew Philip Frasher, 30, died of asthma-related complications Sunday June 19, 2011, in Greeley. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Kossuth Cemetery in Mediapolis.
Surviving are his parents; two brothers, Clifford Frasher of St. Louis, Mo., and Quinten Frasher of Lorena, Texas; two grandmothers, Margaret Frasher-Bishop of Anamosa and Helen Lundeen of Mediapolis; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Richard Frasher and Kenneth Lundeen.
Matthew Philip Frasher was born April 2, 1981, at Camp Pendleton, Calif., the son of Michael and Lynne (Lundeen) Frasher. Matthew was a 2000 graduate of the Seoul American High School in Seoul, South Korea. Matthew worked as a life guard while overseas. Then after returning to Iowa he worked for Schwann's loading trucks, then as a truck driver for Coca-Cola. Later he worked as a meat cutter for West Linden Meat Locker in Dyersville, then for the Fareway stores in Monticello, Manchester, Dyersville and Dubuque.
Matthew enjoyed bowling, fishing, golf, baseball, football and many other sporting activities.
He was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew and friend and will be dearly missed by those who knew him best.
