Frank Richard Willis, 76, of Springville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at home surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life memorial will be at a later date.
Frank was born June 1, 1938, to Arthur and Virginia (nee Crist) Willis in Shell Rock, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Maxine Miller on March 11, 1985, in Cedar Rapids. He served in the U.S. Army during the Panama Canal riots. He worked many years driving a concrete truck and earned the nickname "The Legend."
He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed trivia and history.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Miller; six children, Tom, Nancy, Becky, Lynette, Trish and Barb; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia Phillips.
