Frank Pata, 98, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away, Monday, Jan. 12, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Cedar Memorial Park's Chapel of Memories. Visitation for Frank will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Frank was born Oct. 14, 1916, to Frank and Emma Pata in Howard County, Iowa. He married Mabel Detert on Dec. 23, 1943.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel; his sons, Dean (Colleen) of Cedar Rapids and Bruce (Cathy) of Olathe, Kan.; daughter, Joyce (Robert) Locke of Mount Vernon; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and four sisters.
