Frank G. Wilkens, III, was born May 29, 1947, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the first born child of Frank G. Wilkens Jr. and June R. Wilkens. He passed peacefully on May 23, 2025. Frank leaves behind sister Debbie and brother Ron, and their respective families in Texas and Oklahoma. He was an exceptional athlete in high school, earning a wrestling scholarship. After one year of college, he joined the U.S. Navy. Frank planted roots in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after leaving the Navy. He was an active member of the Chosen Few Motorcycle Club from 1970 - 2000s, known as “No Brains” or “Brains”. He worked for Camden Amusement later in his life. Known affectionately as “Uncle Frank”, his charismatic personality brought him an adopted family at Rumors. They enjoyed hearing his stories and playful banter. Frank was loved and will be truly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at Rumors Bar and Grill in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, June 14, from 2:00 - 6:00 pm.
