Frances E. Crawford Stackhouse, 87, of Amana, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Colonial Manor in Amana following a short illness. Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, May 14, at Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Calling hours will begin at noon Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.
Memorials have been established for the Colonial Manor Activities Fund.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Stackhouse of Amana; daughter, Thea Jo Walton and husband Bob of Iowa City; son, Melvin Crawford and wife Carolyn of Amana; daughter, Corliss Donovan and husband Mike of Iowa City; daughter, Lyla Erwin and husband Don of Williamsburg; 35 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She also is survived by a stepdaughter, Diane Grooms of North Carolina; stepson, David Stackhouse of Marion; seven stepgrandchildren; and a number of stepgreat-grandchildren.
