Frances E. Miller, 101, of Washington, Iowa, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at Parkview Home in Wayland following a short illness. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Bernie Weir officiating. Calling hours will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Prayer services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established for St. James Catholic Church or Parkview Home in Wayland. She is survived by five children, Nelda Rouse and husband John "Pete" of Marion, Janet Sterling and special friend Jimmy L. Renfro of Wayland, Marlys Lauf and husband Art of Cedar Rapids, Alvin Mastain of Indianapolis, Ind., and Gordon "Mike" Mastain and wife Mary Oberreuter of Marion; special friend, Kyanne Wagner of Washington; and two stepchildren, Frank Miller and wife Deb of Washington, and Dennis Miller and wife Nora of Belle Plaine. Frances also is survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Edith Paustian of Waverly and Juanita Wolf of Waterloo.
