Frances Arlene Griffith, 93, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at Brooklyn Community Estate. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brooklyn. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn.
A memorial fund has been established.
Frances is survived by her children, Dan (Kandi) Griffith of Brooklyn, Dick (Nita) Griffith of Tyler, Texas, Sue Griffith of Cedar Rapids, Charles "Shorty" (Robin) Griffith of Brooklyn, Kris (Jerome) Sass of Luana, Anne (Jim) Manatt of Brooklyn, Jim (Shelly) Griffith of Victor, Fred (Glenda) Griffith of Brooklyn, John (Lisa) Griffith of Victor, Dale (Candace) Griffith of Brooklyn and Sally (Mark) Hawkins of Brooklyn; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emma Lou Phelan of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Roth Leeper; her husband, Fred Griffith, in 2004; a daughter, Carolyn Jo; brothers, William and Robert Leeper; and sisters, Mary Coburn, Lorraine Estes and Polly Calderwood.
