Frances Alberta Kenney, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, July 30, 2022. Private family services will be held. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
Frances was born March 29, 1946, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of Charles Bert and Frances Alberta (Noreen) Harper. She was united in marriage to Leland “Lee” Kenney on Aug. 6, 1964, in Little Rock, Ark. Frances graduated from high school and went to receive her bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa. Frances worked as a self-employed truck driver until her retirement in 2012. She really enjoyed reading, playing video games, and spending time with her grandchildren and her cat, Bob.
Survivors include her daughter, Kristina Kay Kenney of Cedar Rapids; son, Leland William (Jodi) Kenney of Cedar Rapids; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Breanna Kenney, Tanner and Nickolas Graham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Kenney; and parents, Charles and Frances Harper.
