Frake-Hendron-Nakaerts-Vincent, Patricia J.
Patricia J. Frake-Hendron-Nakaerts-Vincent, 82, of 4007 Lexington Dr. NE, died Sept. 6, 2012, with family present, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. A viewing will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, where there will be a vigil service at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Deacon Paul Zimmerman will officiate.
Patricia is survived by five children: Stacey Anderson (Steve), Downers Grove, Ill., Dan Hendron (Barbara), Clifton, Ill., Tim Hendron (Andrea), Naperville, Ill., Julie Sandness-Boyer, Watseka, Ill., and Lindy Nakaerts (Deborah), Naperville, Ill. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters.
She was born to the late Lawrence and Margaret Frake on Aug. 25, 1930, in Evanston, Ill. Patricia graduated from St. Mary's High School, Phoenix, Ariz., in 1948 and attended Arizona State University. She married the late William Leo Hendron (Dee) in 1950, the late Myron Joseph Nakaerts (Butch) in 1960 and Clinton Dawson Vincent (Clint) in 1987.
Patricia owned and operated Cameo Beauty Salon in Clifton, Ill., and moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1977. She worked for Rockwell Collins until her retirement in 1992.
Patricia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed listening to music, playing cards and large family gatherings. Patricia was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she was a member of the choir and taught CCD and RCIA.
The family would like to thank all for the wonderful words of encouragement, support and care through Patricia's journey. A special thank you to all of the staff at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy for your love and care throughout Patricia's stay.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House located at 315 18th Ave., Hiawatha, IA 52233 in care of Patricia J. Vincent.
