Frahm, Phillip R.
Phillip R. Frahm, 79, of Robins, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at his home. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at the chapel. A celebration of life will continue at the family home in Robins following the memorial service from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth; sons, Randal (Barb) Frahm of Cedar Rapids, Rich Frahm of Cedar Rapids, Doug (Vicki) Frahm of Fort Dodge and Charles “Will” (Sherry) Frahm of Cottonwood, Calif.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Charles Frahm of Anahein, Calif., Maxine Johnson of Attleboro, Mass., Allene Parish of Lindale, Texas and James Frahm of Fairfax, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law.
Phillip Randall Frahm was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Peter and Emily Marian (Bistline) Frahm. On Nov. 27, 1952, he married Elizabeth Pearl Langlotz in Mason City, Iowa. Phil worked for Western Electric for over 37 years and was a supervisor at his time of retirement in 1989.
He enjoyed traveling, their winters in Mesa, Ariz., was a true “fixer” working on and around his home, and helping friends with their computer issues.
