Fox, Jean Elizabeth Miller
Jean Elizabeth Miller Fox, 88, of Willow Gardens in Marion, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a long illness. A “Celebration of Life service” will be held at a later date. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Lucian (Jerry); two daughters, Lynn (Gordon) Bowser of Marion and Leslie (Tim) Carlson of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, David (Pat) Miller of North Carolina. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Jean was born Sept. 23, 1921, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Robert and Beatrice Wirth Miller. She married Lucian J. Fox on Jan. 22, 1944, in Pittsburgh.
Jean was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Marion, where donations may be given in lieu of flowers.
