Fowler, Terry Lee
Terry Lee Fowler, 63, of Iowa City, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at the Iowa City VA Health Care System. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial, with military honors, will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Terry was born Feb. 26, 1949, in Iowa City, the son of Charles and Mary M. (Dolezal) Fowler. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Air Force. He has worked in the heating and air conditioning business most of his adult life and has lived in this area most of his life. For the past 2 1/2 months of his illness, he has been under the care of his brother, Charles.
His family includes his siblings, Norma Jean (Mackey) Rouse of Ohio, Lois Gerard (Gerald) of Iowa City, Charles J. Fowler of Solon and Cindy Lee Madsen (Jeff) of West Branch; 11 nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces and great-nephews; and five great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
