Fowler, Clare 'Bud' Luverne
Clare “Bud” Luverne Fowler, 93, of Rushford, Minn., formerly of Coggon, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at the Good Shepard Lutheran Home in Rushford. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Central City. Private family graveside services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Coggon Cemetery, Coggon.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Fowler of Springfield, Mo., and Doug Fowler of Rushford, Minn; one sister, Pearl Franzen of Guttenberg; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Clare was born March 22, 1916, the son of William H. and Jane (Burkholder) Fowler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. Clare married Doris Fleshman on April 3, 1939. Doris died April 28, 1993.
