Forristall, Glenn Jr.

Glenn Forristall, Jr., 63, of Burlington, and formerly of Missouri and Cedar Rapids, died Friday afternoon, June 21, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.

The son of Glenn Forristall, Sr. and Dona Molle, he was born on March 31, 1950, in Cedar Rapids. He married Lisa Butcher on Feb. 14, 1985, in Burlington. He had worked in construction and industrial painting. He loved to be out in nature and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by a son, Larry and Tara Forristall of Burlington; a daughter, Stephanie and Michael Gerhardt of Oakville; two grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne Forristall of Florida, Richard Forristall of Texas, and Robert Hiller of Missouri; his stepmother, Billie Forristall of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Gail Forristall of Waterloo, and Connie Bachman of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry.

The funeral ceremony for Glenn Forristall, Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello with the Rev. Sue-Ellen Sherman officiating. Burial will follow at Edwards Cemetery at Oakville.

A memorial fund has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
