Doyle D. “Barney” Foland, 91, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Independence, died June 23, 2011, at his home. Funeral Services: 11 a.m., June 27, White Funeral Home, Independence. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence. Visitation: 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with military service at 4:30 p.m.
Surviving are two grandsons, Jonathon (Maddie) Cafferty of Cedar Rapids and Daniel Foland of Chicago; and a great-granddaughter, Melissa L. Cafferty.
