Fogg, LaVerne Evelyn

Funeral services for LaVerne Evelyn Fogg, 94, of Tipton, who died Sept. 6, 2013, at Clarence Nursing Home, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Pastor Ron Lashmit will be officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday. Burial will be at Woodbridge Cemetery, Tipton.

Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice or Clarence Nursing Home.

LaVerne was born Nov. 16, 1918, in Dixon, Iowa, the daughter of John and Katherine (Kate) Schmidt Flenker. LaVerne was a graduate of Dixon High School and in 1952, was united in marriage to Forrest Maxson Fogg. She was a homemaker and was employed by the Robert and Bernice Meinholdt household.

LaVerne is survived by her daughter, Julia (Dan Charest) Fogg of Wallingford, Conn.; sons, Arthur Fogg and Joseph (Lorraine Carney) Fogg, both of Tipton; grandchildren, Dave (Alicia) Fogg, Joey (Dee) Fogg and Mike (Chasidie) Fogg; great-grandchildren, Maxon, Ryder, Wesley, Kodia and Larkyn; sister, Ethel Kuchel of Oxford Junction; and brother, Harlan Flenker of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Elaine Kolwey and Janice Flenker; and brothers, Melvin and Glenn Flenker.
