Floyd, Chelsea Lee

Chelsea Lee Floyd, 18, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, from complications of a seizure disorder. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church by the Rev. Ivan Nienhaus. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home and Tuesday after 9 a.m. at the church.

Chelsea is survived by her mother, Christine (Jeff Karr) Floyd; father, Gary, brother, Chaney Floyd, boyfriend, Cameron Butterfield, and grandma and grandpa, Jim and Marlys Floyd and Bill and Gloria Viers, all of Cedar Rapids; aunts and uncles, Bill (Lita) Viers of Packwood, Shawn (Emma) Viers of Cedar Rapids, Becky (Doug) Pippert of Keystone, Cindy (Rodney) Crow of Luzerne and Jeff Floyd of Cedar Rapids; and many cousins and friends.

Chelsea was born in Cedar Rapids at Mercy Medical Center on Jan. 7, 1994, the daughter of Gary and Christine (Viers) Floyd. She attended Jefferson High School and Kirkwood Community College.

Chelsea had a big heart and was always smiling. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her.
