Ladora
Floyd W. "Bill" Hollopeter, 83, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, in Belle Plaine. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with the Rev. Cindi McKee officiating. Burial will be in Ohio Cemetery, rural Ladora, with military honors. Visitation:
4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established.
Floyd is survived by his children, David Hollopeter of Ladora, Rick Hollopeter of Ladora, Kevin Hollopeter (Dee) of Cedar Rapids and Marlyce Folkmann (Daren) of Marengo; three grandchildren, Angela Schnebbe (Joshua) of Victor, Doug Folkmann (Lisa) of Ladora and Micheal Folkmann of Marengo; and a great-grandchild, Mallory Jo Folkmann of Ladora.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laura Slaymaker Hollopeter; four brothers, Lawrence, Charles, Dean and Frank; and three sisters, Hazel, Mary and Betty.
