Floy A. Key Stockton, 70, of Fairfax, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, in her home following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is serving the family.
Floy is survived by her husband, Gary; daughter, Terri (Brian) Meier of Ankeny, and their daughter, Erika (Chris); daughter, Lori Price of Newton, and her children, Alexander (Bethanne), Tanar and Madison; son, SFC G. Don (Sherri) Stockton of Fairfax, and their children, Shad (Rachel), Chase and Shaylee; son, Cory (Stacy) of Fairfax, and their daughter, Ryanne; sister, Frances Cummiskey of Niceville, Fla.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved dog, Bear.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Clarice Pruess.
Floy was born Nov. 10, 1943, in Mobile, Ala., the daughter of George and Clara Ard Key. She attended high school in France and graduated from Chocta-whatchee High School in Shalimar, Fla. Floy married Gary Stockton on July 13, 1961, in Niceville, Fla.
Floy loved her Florida panhandle heritage, traveling and spending her winters in Rocky Bayou State Park. She enjoyed working with her son, Cory, at The Hungry Hobo in Cedar Rapids. She liked going to the casino, painting, making jewelry, and had a very artistic way about her.
