Florence Williams, 91, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on May 7, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Florence possessed a personal faith that found expression in every aspect of her life and supported her through her final transition. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 22, at First Presbyterian Church in Iowa City, with burial at Oakland Cemetery. There will be a reception immediately after the burial for family and friends at the church. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation, 2720 Muscatine Ave., Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Iowa City; or to www.nokidhungry.org.
