Florence Richey, 94, of Coralville, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Briarwood Health Care Center in Iowa
City. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in
Iowa City, where visitation will take place one hour before the services. Burial will follow services at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton.

Florence Beymer was born Oct. 1, 1919, in Wilton, Iowa, the daughter of Hubert and Viola (Rush) Beymer. Following her mother's passing, she was raised by her grandparents from infancy.
After graduating from Wilton High School, she married Herbert R. Richey on Oct. 19, 1939, in Wapello, Iowa. The couple had lived in the Iowa City area most of their married lives where both Herbert and Florence worked for the University of Iowa until their retirement.
Herbert preceded her in death in 1995.
Florence enjoyed visiting with friends and family, traveling, crafts, crochet and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
She will be remembered as a loving, feisty, independent aunt, sister, cousin and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister.
