Florence Lona, 95, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2021. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Graveside service to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Florence B. Rodriguez was born March 12, 1926, in Cedar Rapids, to John Rodriguez and Lydia Saldevar.
Survivors include her daughter, Corrinne Hinojosa; grandchildren, Ruben, Raynaldo, Rene, Rebecca and Roderick, Salvador "Ray," Maria, Mario, Jose and Juan; 36 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gloria Kolter, Mildred Sterns and Ramona Vasquez; and many cousins and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Guadalupe Gonzalez; husband, Guadalupe Lona; daughter, Lydia Fregoso; brothers, John, Mike, Rudy, Alfonso, Bobby and Rex Rodriguez; and sisters, Rosie Vega and Grace Fielder.
