Ida Mae Heafner, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at Living Center West Nursing Home. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Calvary Baptist Church, Cedar Rapids, with Pastor Jay Jentink officiating the service.
Florence Ida Mae Heafner was born Feb. 8, 1931, to Walter and Genevieve Mefferd Hensch in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She enjoyed bowling, sewing and doing puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Pearson of Cedar Rapids and Teresa Cartwright of Colorado Springs, Colo.; siblings, Marlene Aswegan, Gary Hensch, Cathy Heeren and Beth Patterson; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; son, Darwin Heafner Jr.; and her two siblings, Walter and Delores.
