Flansburg, Lila R.
Lila R. Flansburg, 89, longtime resident of Tiffin, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Windmill Manor in Coralville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Grace United Methodist Church in Tiffin, with burial following at Oakhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials in Lila's name can be made to Grace UMC.

Lila Rose (Files) was born July 21, 1924, the daughter of Lee and Eva (Herring) Files. She served in the Army during World War II and later married A.C. Flansburg on Feb. 3, 1947, in Stanwood, Iowa. She worked alongside A.C. for nearly 40 years, in their hardware store in Tiffin and Mary and Al's store in Oxford. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
Her family includes her daughter, Jill Flansburg and her sweetheart, John McCullough of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sons, Gary Flansburg (Linda) of Iowa City and James Flansburg (Carol) of Des Moines; son-in-law, Al Wyborny; brother, Sherman Files of Tiffin; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
