Fisher, Karen L.
Karen L. Fisher, 72, of Marion, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Willow Gardens Care Center, Marion. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. William B. Harnish will officiate, with private family inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids.
Karen is survived by her children, Skip (Eileen) Fisher of Cedar Rapids, Eric (Teresa) Fisher of Tucson, Ariz., and Connie (Roger) Petersen of Marion; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jeffrey Kramer of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Greggory and Timothy Fisher; parents, Irvin and Ellen Kramer; sister, Delores Nanke; and brother, Michael Kramer. Karen was born March 6, 1941, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Irvin and Ellen (Coppess) Kramer. She worked for Dex Phonebook Co. in sales for 10 years before her retirement. Karen enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family, grandchildren and her animals.
