Fisher, Gary R.
Gary R. Fisher, 68, of Iowa City died Monday, June 21, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. today until services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Gary's memory.

Gary Randall Fisher was born June 29, 1941, in Nomes, N.D., the son of Ole and Cora (Hanson) Fisher. He graduated from high school in 1959 in Entiat, Wash. Gary married Carol Rodger, later divorcing. On Jan. 4, 1986, he married Cathy Madden in Iowa City. He has spent most of his life as a truck driver, which he loved doing. Gary also enjoyed the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, and his trips to the Riverside Casino!
His family includes his wife, Cathy; children, Jim Fisher, Jerry Fisher (Kelly), Christy Fiala (Dan) and Scott Fisher (Erin); stepchildren, Karmen Smith (Mark) and David Price (Cathi); grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, Shane, Brittnee Jo, Zachary, Jacob, Ben, and Katie Jo; siblings, Pearl Fish, Dean Fisher, Lyle Fisher, Paul Fisher, Carolyn Barth, and Barbara Boblett; brothers-in-law, Edward and Richard Madden, and sister-in-law, Sandra Hora.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Florence Ludwig; and two brothers, Glenn and Harold Fisher.
