Fisher, Alice F.
Alice F. Fisher, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Chaplain Mike Patterson. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Gary; children, Theresa (Kenny) Snitker of Blairstown, Julie (Scott) Crisman of Victor, Brett (Tabitha) Emig of Phoenix, Ariz., Jason Fisher of Mobile, Ala., and Jill Foster of Iowa City; grandchildren, Nickolas, Noel, Max, Joel, Matt, Chris, Jessie, Taylor, Gracie, Kenzie, Gabrielle and Heather; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Ayden, Bailey, Quincie, Raegen and Keenyn; sisters, Ellen Husby and Maye (Glenn) Geiger, both of Texas; and mother-in-law, Bernadine Fisher of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Keith Powell; sister, Helen Lamprecht; son-in-law, Jim Foster; daughter-in-law, Mandi Fisher; and father-in-law, Eugene Fisher.
Alice was born May 25, 1942, the daughter of Roy and Emma (Loomis) Steggall, in Clara, Mo. A 1961 Waterloo West High School graduate, she married Gary Fisher on Feb. 16, 1982, in Vinton, Iowa. Alice worked as a cook for Silver Pines. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, photography and loved spending time with her family.
