Fish, Agnes 'Dee' Delores Fish
Agnes “Dee” Delores Fish, 88, of 5527 Cedar Dr. NW, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, after a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Jude Catholic Church, by the Rev. Mark Reasoner. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home and Saturday after 9 a.m. at the church.
Dee is survived by her husband, Harold, of 63 years; a daughter, Gay (Brad) Carpenter of Cedar Rapids; three sons, Barry of Cedar Rapids, Bart (Tammy) Fish of Independence and Brad Fish of Chicago; seven grandchildren, Jill, Jacy, Andrea, Tracie, Drew, Renee and Erin; five great-grandchildren, Cherokee, Paige, Ally, Ava and Drayden; and two sisters, Kathy Niebes and Joy (Sid) Stanbrook, both of California.
Dee was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina Nunemaker; and siblings, Mary, Paul, Gail, Eugene, Betty, Bill, Nadine, Anna and Richard.
Dee was born Jan. 6, 1923, in Holbrook, the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Woods) Newkirk. She graduated from St. Patrick High School and married Harold Walter Fish on April 10, 1948, at St. Patrick Church.
Dee enjoyed reading, cooking, being active in Bible study and attending St. Jude Church. She loved her family and especially playing with her grandchildren.
