Fiser, Dennis L.
Dennis L. Fiser, 66, of Central City, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God Church, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Rick Gail. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia; his children, Robert (Kariann) Fiser, Rodney (Lorene) Fiser, Terri (Vance) Edwards, Staci (Scott) Whitson and Lori (Brian) Prucha; grandchildren, Amber, Justin, Ashton, Zackary, Matthew, Zachery, Abbigail, Jacklyn, Dalton, Kate and Belle; and four brothers, Dean (Ronda), Donald (Carol), Daryl (Bette) and Delbert (Ruth).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dennis was born Oct. 1, 1943, the son of Wallace and Lucille (Rodgers) Fiser, in Ladora, Iowa. He married Marcia Rudd on March 17, 2007, in Central City. Dennis retired as a captain from the Linn County Sheriff's Department. Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapshooting, and watching his grandchildren's activities. He was a member of the Otter Creek Sportsman's Club.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Dennis' memory.
