Fischer, Lyle H.
Lyle H. Fischer, 82, with his children by his side, joined his wife in heaven on Nov. 23, 2011. Mass of Resurrection: 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Strawberry Point, with the Rev. Paul Peters as celebrant. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point, where there will be a 7 p.m. Scripture service. Friends may also call one hour before services Monday at the church. Interment, with military rites: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.
Survivors include his four children, Jean (Dave) Kuehl of Jefferson, Kevin (Becky) Fischer of Cleveland, Mo., Greg Fischer of South Amana and Valerie (Willie) Lough of Garnavillo; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Agnes Fettkether of Oelwein; two brothers, Amos Fischer of Edgewood and Richard Fischer of Janesville, Wis.; two sisters-in-law, Rose Fischer of Manchester and Bev Fischer of Coral Springs, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
