Feye, Dale Arnold
He married Jeanette M. Foley on Feb. 11, 1947. They were later divorced. He later married Sadie (Lamparek) Greazel on Jan. 29, 1972.
Dale is survived by his wife, Sadie; his children Michael (Linda), Jeanne, Mark and Tom (Carrie), all of Cedar Rapids, and Terry of Marion; stepdaughters, Nancy (John) Leefers and Sharon Rathje of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter whom he and Sadie raised, April (Todd) Petersen; 21grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Roger (Roseann) of Eastman, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Joan Feye of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Grace Lamparek, and a brother-in-law, Leo Lamparek of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Art Martin; his brother, James; his former wife, Jeanette; a granddaughter, Monica Feye; great-grandsons, Kendal Feye and Andrew Wilson; sister-in-law, Leota Lamparek; and brothers-in-law, Ivan Lamparek and Leonard Lamparek.
Dale retired as a toolmaker from LaPlante Choate/Allis-Chalmers/Harnischfeger in 1985. He was an avid hunter in his earlier years, and enjoyed golfing and woodworking after retirement. Throughout his life he enjoyed gardening, horseshoes and bowling. He was involved in coaching Little League Baseball in the College Community school district for many years and enjoyed attending athletic events in which his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren participated. He was a member of St. Ludmila Catholic Church for over 50 years. He was an active member of UAW Local 1316 Retirees and belonged to both the VFW and American Legion. After retirement he volunteered at Mercy Medical Center and helped with the Sunday evening Bingo at St. Ludmila Catholic Church.
