Feuerbach, Kenneth William
Kenneth William Feuerbach, 90, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 4, at the United Methodist Church in Van Horne with Pastor Christy Ehrley officiating. Private committal services will be held at the Keystone Cemetery in Keystone. Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Keystone from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Kenneth was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Keystone to William and Mary (Junge Feuerbach. He graduated from the Keystone High School. On Feb. 24, 1945, he was united in marriage to Evelyln Konicek at the Methodist parsonage in Elberon. Ken farmed for many years in the Keystone area and worked and retired from Iowa Manufacturing.
He was a member of the Keystone Turner Hall for 71 years, helping at dances and “Children's Day” for years. Ken enjoyed watching the Cubs on TV. He also loved telling stories from his childhood and years growing up.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Ken is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn; his daughter, Sandy Fetter of Fairfax; his son, Jim Feuerbach of Phoenix, Ariz.; his daughter-in-law, Gloria Feuerbach of Keystone; his grandchildren, Shannon (Jen) Feuerbach of Keystone, Kyle (Shelby) Feuerbach of Chicago, Ashley Feuerbach of Glendale, Ariz., Brock (Katie) Fetter of Jacksonville, Fla., and Stasia (Oscar) Fetter of St. Paul, Minn.; and his great-grandson, Preston Feuerbach of Keystone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Feuerbach; his grandson, Cameron Feuerbach; his son-in-law, Greg Fetter; his brother, LaVerne Feuerbach; and his sister, Nola Frazenburg.
A memorial fund has been established.
