Fetters, Theresa Marie

Theresa Marie Fetters, 46, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City, ending a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Theresa's memory.

Theresa Marie Shaw was born April 13, 1967, in Iowa City, the daughter of Kenneth and Emy Lou (Grizel) Shaw. Following high school, she attended and graduated from Hamilton Business College. For the past 20 years, she has worked for the former NCS, presently Pearson of Iowa City. Theresa loved life, her family, the St. Louis Cardinals and of course, Riverside Casino!

Her family includes her husband, Darren; children, Katherine Haddock of North Liberty, Kyle Fetters (Nicole Chalupa) of Solon and Matthew Haddock (Karrie) of Wisconsin; granddaughter, Averi; parents, Emy Lou and Joe Weldon and Ken Shaw, all of Iowa City; siblings, Lucille Fincher (Roger) of Iowa City, Carolyn Keely (Chad) of Iowa City and Ed Shaw (Misty) of North English; and numerous nieces and nephews, including very special ones, Michael and Melissa.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tyler Fetters, and grandparents.
