Ferencik, John J.
John worked as a security guard at Collins (later Rockwell Collins Aviation) and also Duane Arnold Energy Plant, worked during the mid 1970s; as a machinist at Link-Belt Crane and Excavating; overtime laborer at Wilson Meat Packing; formerly retired from Rockwell International in the late 1980s and worked odd jobs such as detasseling corn and delivering newspapers.
John enjoyed attending the Cedar Rapids Symphony and Old Creamery Theatre performances, routinely eating at Ryan's Steak House, detailing his Chrysler Cordoba until it hurt to look at it, and dry cleaning every article of clothing in his possession - and we mean ALL OF IT!
