Fenchak, William 'Jay'
William “Jay” Fenchak, 57, of Marion, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Per his wishes, he has been cremated. No services are planned at this time. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl of Marion; son, Brandon Adams (Katy Arnold) of La Crosse, Wis; daughter, Ashley Adams of Willmar, Minn.; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Christy Adams; and brothers, Richard Fenchak of Arizona and Greg Fenchak of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
William Jay Fenchak was born Feb. 13, 1956, in Pineville, La., the son of Joseph and Billy (Davenport) Fenchak. Jay served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. On Feb. 14, 2001, he married Cheryl Comried at Cedar Rapids. He was an electrical engineer for Rockwell Collins until his death.
