Feldmann, Harriet Ellyn
Harriet Ellyn Feldmann, 76, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, in her home from a brief illness. Private family services will be held at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Hiawatha.
Harriet was born June 25, 1935, in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Edward and Donna (Donath) Rieger, and was a 1952 graduate of the Colesburg High School. She was married to Floyd Feldmann for many years; they later divorced. She worked for The Gazette in her early years as an ad runner. Later on she lived and worked on the farm near Greeley for many years. Harriet was a very talented and gifted musician, and played the piano at Von Maur in her later years. She enjoyed art, working in oil, waters, pencil and inks, as well as her kitties.
Harriet is survived by her sisters, Patricia Lalley of Cedar Rapids, Regina Huggins of Oelwein and Mary Mason of Nova Scotia, Canada; and a brother, Nicholas Rieger of Rome, Texas; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
