Fall, Helen M.
Helen M. Fall, 80, of Olin, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Anamosa Care Center, Anamosa. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin, with the Rev. Wendell Debner officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery, rural Anamosa. Friends may call from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Helen was born Sept. 1, 1929, in Oxford Junction, Iowa, to Werner and Margaret Bendixen. She was raised in rural Oxford Junction and graduated from Oxford Junction High School. She married Wrenden Fall. She, along with her husband, Wrenden, raised their four sons in Olin. They also operated their family business in Olin. She was a homemaker and for 10 years worked on the assembly line at Sheller Globe in Iowa City.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Olin. She loved to spend time with her family and grandkids.
She is survived by her four sons, David (Connie) Fall of Olin, Randy (Marty) Fall of Anamosa, Michael Fall and Steve Fall of Olin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tim (Kim) Fall, Tasha Fall Erickson, Heather (Matt) Van Trump, David (Cari) Fall, Becky (Sam) Chittenden, Danny (Tara) Bonner, Chad (Amber) Fall, Mike (Melinda) Fall and
Matt (Brenna) Fall; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her sisters and brothers, Hans (Shirley) Bendixen, Anna Marie Entsminger, Sylvia (Eldon) Rickels, Richard (Arlene) Bendixen, Margaret Stickley, Evelyn (Jim) Heinsius, Chrystal (Steve) Klatt and Chris Bendixen; a brother-in-law, Verlin (Mary) Fall; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wrenden; her parents, Werner and Margaret Bendixen; a brother, Werner Bendixen; and a sister-in-law, Carol Bendixen.
Her winning smile and great sense of humor will be missed by all who loved her.
