Fae Ann Johnson, 66, of Springville, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City, Iowa.
Fae was born on Sept. 5, 1956, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Robert Eugene and Lorraine Julia (Kirby) Jones. She was a graduate of Marion High School and went on to work for Rockwell Collins for 33-plus years before retiring in 2018. On June 29, 2013, Fae was united in marriage to Lynn Allen Johnson in Whittier, Iowa. They loved fishing, boating, and camping on the Mississippi at their favorite spot in North Buena Vista (aka Buenie). She was an avid Hawkeyes fan and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters. Fae will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her mother, Lorraine Remington of Marion; two daughters, Amber (Scott) Franzen of Monmouth, Iowa, and Ashley (Blake) Rodemeyer of Cedar Rapids; five granddaughters, Gracie, Gabriella, Isabella, Brynn, and Harper; her dog, Hoss; and brother, Lonnie Jones.
She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Charles Robert Jones; husband, Lynn; and stepfather, Elton “Al” Remington.
