Jeannette Faas, 88, of Hiawatha, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Hiawatha Care Center. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Dan Krueger. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her children, Lynda (Robert) Hembera of Hiawatha, Steven Faas of Hiawatha and Vicky (Dennis) Jobe of Toddville; two brothers, David Williams of Hiawatha and Russell (Maxine) Williams of Monticello; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, three sisters, two brothers, and a great-grandson.
Jeannette was born Aug. 24, 1922, in Williamsburg, to Gwilyn and Mary Williams. She married James Faas on Dec. 31, 1945, in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha and active with the Ladies Guild.
A memorial fund has been established.
